MTNPA and PEPA epoxy hardeners are two–component inorganic products in the form of a liquid viscous substance packed in containers of their polyethylene and steel. The main components in the production are isomethyl and ethylene polyamine.

Technical characteristics and basic properties

Is a liquid of the color spectrum from light yellow to dark brown shades. It has a homogeneous consistency, the inclusion of other substances is not allowed. It may have a greenish color (allowed by the production technology). It contains nitrogen (about 30%), water – no more than 2%, mineral impurities (no more than 0.2%), tertiary amino groups (within 5-9%). The content of chlorine ion is unacceptable. It has a second class of danger.

Purpose

Epoxy hardeners: isomethyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride (MTNPA) and polyethylene polyamine (PEPA) are used to improve the quality characteristics of epoxy resins on an industrial scale. Amine and anhydride hardeners are involved in the processes of manufacturing solid high-quality plastics from polymer raw materials of mineral or vegetable origin.

Used in the resin curing process:

• as sealants and binding adhesives;
• making epoxy resins resistant to polymer salts and alkalis.

Application of amine and anhydride hardeners
